UBAT – International University of Business Agriculture and Technology is the first non-state university established in Bangladesh. Initial planning began in 1989 and the university was established in 1991. The course of study began in 1992 with the approval of Assumption University of Bangkok, Thailand. IUBAT strongly supported the establishment of a non-university. state and support the Bangladesh government’s initiative to pass legislation to establish an official non-state university in the country. IUBAT currently operates as a government approved university under the Non-State Universities Act B.E. 1992.
Behind the establishment of IUBAT there is a great need for human resource development in society. An introduction to socio-economic changes through the agricultural economic development process. The unsatisfactory condition of the existing universities and the large gap between supply and demand (quantitative, qualitative and diversified) have created additional grounds for thinking about investment and human resource development to address fundamental economic and economic problems. Society, social approach, people can be healed on their own.
This thought process was accelerated during a three-week visit to Kansas State University in March 1989 by a non-governmental university Dr. And this led to the development of a Study to Study Partnership Agreement with Kansas State University to support the implementation of the idea.
